As part of our “technical upgrade” to the Lynchburg Pops, we’re working on a shiny new website! We want it to continue to be a way for the public to find concert info and buy tickets while we make it a fun and functional space for our band members.
Hopes for Future Features for Band Members:
- Online band applications
- A band member directory (so we can finally put names to faces)
- Band member announcements (devoid of jokes and memes, I promise)
- On-boarding documentation for new members
- Event registration
- Online access to Pops Board meeting minutes
Hopes for Future Features for the Public:
- Online contributions to the Pops
- “Membership Levels” for donors
To make all this magic happen, I need a few fellow geeks who enjoy creative projects, love the Lynchburg Pops experience, and who, like me, enjoy bonding over shared high-five moments.
If you have about 5 hours a week to spare over the next two months and any of the following apply to you, please consider lending a hand:
- You have experience in web design.
- You have experience creating digital assets for websites (graphics, video, photographs, etc.).
- You have experience with WordPress.
- You have experience with the Paid Memberships Pro WordPress plugin.
- You have experience with managing IT infrastructure (like being a Google Workspaces account admin or handling web hosting services).
- You are a good communicator with project management experience, particularly with more agile projects.
Feel free to email me (scribe@lpops.org) with any questions or suggestions.
