• have the time to attend practice every Thursday evening between 7:00 – 9:00 PM?

If you answered YES to these questions, then Lynchburg Pops Community Band may be the place for you! 

We are an all-volunteer group of music lovers. Our members include everyone from folks who are nostalgic for their high school band days to current music students and professionals seeking a recreational outlet.

We rehearse year round on Thursdays from 7:00-9:00 pm at Heritage High School. Our music is shared in a Google folder and members print their own parts. In 2025 we will have four major performances at the historic Academy of the Arts (March, May, October, and December), and other smaller performances will be added during the year such as our popular free mini-concerts at River Ridge Mall.  

There is no charge to participate in Lynchburg Pops and there are no tryouts; all you need is an instrument and the willingness to commit to attending weekly rehearsals and playing in our concerts.
